Sustainability
Sustainability is at the heart of all we do at Sushé Farms! We believe in natural farming that’s enriching, shunning the use of chemicals, which also helps our produce retain their inherent flavours and health benefits. Our processes have a minimal carbon footprint, with a focus on man and solar power rather than electricity, with processes like solar drying, hand operated oil pressing and manual labeling. This also helps create more employment opportunities for the local village youth.
Our oils are stored and sold in food grade and recyclable plastic bottles, and we strive to keep all our packaging as waste-free as possible. Furthermore, all our products are made in small batches to ensure better farming practices and better quality, making them better overall for the environment and for you!
Seasonal and Local Nourishment
Produce that is indigenous to a region, grows with a nutritive freshness that remains incomparable. Also, with the changing seasons, the bounties of nature, keep changing too! Therefore, at Sushé Farms, we wholeheartedly believe in local and seasonal farming, giving the soil ample time and space to replenish and rejuvenate itself. We sow, rear and farm all that is endemic to the fresh, fertile and abundantly blessed Konkan region. From ‘Farm to Table’, is a motto which we believe in and practice. And what we don’t grow ourselves, we seasonally source from the wider village community.

With hand-reared, hand-picked and hand-crafted batches we always choose quality over quantity! At Sushé, we don’t believe in mass production, and instead what we bring to select tables, is the gift of clean & healthy exclusivity for those who appreciate and believe that good things come in limited packages.

We prefer to take the help of the local workforce, by bringing together hands and minds from a lineage that has been tending the good earth, for generations. Other than instilling a sense of empowerment to the communities, it creates a bond amongst youngsters, who now have opportunities to strive and thrive.
